e-POWER is Nissan's third generation of this system, with nearly 2 million e-POWER vehicles sold worldwide since 2016. Here is the simple version.

The engine runs a generator
A small 1.5L turbo engine works only as a generator. It shuts off when the battery has enough charge.

The battery stores it
A compact lithium-ion battery holds that electricity and feeds it to the motors on demand.

Electric motors drive
Front and rear motors turn all four wheels. No transmission, so power is smooth and instant.

No. The Rogue Hybrid with e-POWER never needs to be plugged in. Its gas engine makes the electricity that powers the electric motors, so you simply fill up at any gas station. No home charger or charging stops needed.
How is e-POWER different from a regular hybrid?
In most hybrids the gas engine and electric motor take turns driving the wheels through a transmission. With e-POWER, the wheels are always driven by electric motors. The gas engine only works as a generator, which is why the Rogue Hybrid feels quick, quiet and smooth like an electric vehicle.
Is this the same as the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid?
No. The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is a separate model you plug in to get electric-only driving range. The 2027 Rogue Hybrid e-POWER never plugs in. Ask our team which one fits the way you drive.
What fuel economy will it get?
Nissan is targeting 41 MPG city, 36 highway and 38 combined on the SR, and 41 city, 35 highway and 37 combined on the SV and Platinum. These are Nissan targets until official EPA estimates are released. Actual mileage will vary.
Is all-wheel drive standard?
Yes. Every 2027 Rogue Hybrid comes with Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, using one electric motor up front and one in the rear. That is a big plus for Colorado winters and mountain drives.
How much does the 2027 Rogue Hybrid cost?
Starting MSRP is $35,490 for the SV, $37,490 for the SR and $43,490 for the Platinum, plus $1,575 destination and handling. Tax, title, license and options are extra. Our team can walk you through payment options on the trim you want.
When can I get one?
The SR with the Technology Package is arriving first, in limited quantities starting late November 2026. The SV, SV Premium Package and Platinum are expected in January 2027. Reserving now puts you on our list so we can contact you as allocation comes in.

What warranty covers the e-POWER system?
Nissan covers the entire e-POWER drivetrain, including the battery pack, for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Can it tow?
Yes. The Rogue Hybrid is rated to tow up to 1,500 lb when properly equipped, enough for a small utility trailer or a pair of bikes on a hitch rack.
Can I trade in my current vehicle?
